Operating System

Ultramarine Linux

Ultramarine Linux is a fast, and secure operating system that is designed for modern hardware. It is based on Fedora distribution and is available for both x86_64 and ARM architectures. I am currently using it as my primary operating system and have found it to be very stable and efficient. Not only on my own PC but also as the WSL environment on my work laptop. Database Tools

DbVisualizer

I have used DbVisualizer extensively for querying and managing databases for about twenty years. It is a platform-independent database tool that provides a user-friendly interface for interacting with various databases. You can download it from DbVisualizer's official website.

AI Tools

I am always looking for new AI tools to try out. Here are a few that I use consistently and love:

  • ChatPRD: A platform for helping product managers structure their ideas and generate content. Always improving and expanding its capabilities.
  • Claude Code: A powerful AI tool for writing code, generating documentation, and automating tasks.
  • Gemini: My favorite AI for generating content and images and structuring my thoughts.

Personal Information Management

Capacities

Capacities is a relatively new tool that I have moved after being a long term Evernote user. It has mobile capabilities and is available on both Android and iOS platforms. It offers a clean and intuitive interface for organizing and managing notes, tasks, and other information. Check out the Capacities website for more information.

NotebookLM

Maybe this should have been listed in the AI section. NotebookLM is a powerful tool from Google for making sense out of your documents and uses AI to create slides, mind maps, video overviews, mind maps as well as letting you question your documents. Imagine a LLM whose entire world is you documents. Check it out at NotebookLM website.Includes a nifty tool for deep research.

Readwise

A great tool for reading and summarizing articles and books. It offers a clean and intuitive interface for organizing and managing notes, tasks, and other information. Check out the Readwise website.
